Coolest marketers of 2009

The year 2009 is coming to a close, so it’s time for the annual Red Hot Copy list of the Coolest Marketers.

This list was started last year by accident (more or less). I hosted two workshops on the *She Factor Marketing System* last year about this time. It seemed many new peeps to my community hadn’t been exposed to many of the marketers who have shaped my own business, Red Hot Copy.

It became so popular (and controversial) that we’re gonna do it every year.

Soooo…who is the coolest marketer to you? Not just because you’re friends, but because they deeply influenced you. Please let me know here along with WHY you recommend them and a link to their website.

I’ll make announcements by December 17…one week from today.

Thanks!

Lo

    Hi Lo,

I keep all my FAVE marketers in one handy resource section on my blog. My top three of 2009 and why:

    * YOU (of course & I’m not sucking up) for being a fantastic friend, mentor and colleague and showcasing the softer side of copy which in my opinion is WAY more effective than some of the antiquated methods. Oh and for giving me the honor of being a Copy Coach in your She Factor Copywriting For Women Bootcamp. That’s always a blast. S o, THANKS.

*Ali Brown for giving me a place to really follow my dreams and passions with the support I need to step into my brilliance in the Millionaire Protege Club and recognizing my business at SHINE. She’s a true inspiration (and thanks to you — I discovered her).

*James Roche because he never ceases to amaze me. His coaching in MPC, home study programs and laser calls have really kept me on track and impacted my life both personally and professionally. Plus, he’s not afraid to sit me down and be brutally (but tactfully) honest so I get past my stuck spots and move forward. That really is invaluable.

You can check out my top pics in at the link below & I NEVER recommend anyone I don’t know, like or trust. :).

Cannot wait to see your new list and thanks for mentioning me in the previous one. :)

    Write on!~

I nominate Connie Ragen Green. She’s built an amazing empire based on simple step by step ideas and she’s not afraid to try anything. Her stuff is…well, cool!

  3. Bonnie Hutchinson Says:

    Hi Lo,
My Coolest Marketer in 2009 is Sandra Martini. She is consistently in tune with her market and keeps offering EXACTLY what we need right then. She not only teaches us business, productivity and marketing skills, her team provides the services we need in order to implement.
    Three examples.
*When she realized that her clients did not know how to leverage their efforts by article marketing and other methods, she created a program to teach how to re-purpose, and then offered a Re-Purposing program that actually carries out the steps for us.
*When she learned the huge benefits of social marketing, she not only created a program, she offered the Done4You program in which her team set people up and helped with posting on social networking sites.
*Right now I’m part of her group coaching program “From Vision Board to Reality.” Besides the content, she’s provided actual spreadsheets with our own numbers entered, that show us how each potential action translates into specific amounts of revenue. When I create my plan, I can ask her team of VAs and techical experts to help me implement the steps. They know exactly what I’m trying to accomplish, and leave me free to do the things that only I can do.
Sandy’s slogan is “In full and unwavering support” and that is how I feel when I work with her — fully and unwaveringly supported. She cares as much about my business as I do, and it shows. Of all the mentors I’ve had, Sandy has been the most powerful at helping me turn ideas into bite size do-able steps. Her marketing is so powerful because she tunes into what we need and gets it to us in a form that works for us.

    Thanks for asking, Lo!

P.S. I agree with all of Lisa Manyon’s choices too.
P.P.S. Thanks for including me in your list last year.

    I have two recommendations -

The first would be Nancy Marmolejo of www.VisaVisability. She’s sassy, creative, fun, and just an out of the box marketer.

Next is Michele Pariza-Wacek of www.MichelePW.com. She’s one of the most brilliant marketers around, and I love that she uses dog Nick as part of her brand.

Thanks for the contest Lorrie. I can’t wait to see the results!

  5. Melissa Kitto Says:

    Hi Lorrie!

My coolest marketer of 2009 is James Roche. He is so sincere and truly cares about the people he works with. He goes the extra mile.

He provides great value in his ezine and teleclasses. He is truly a gifted coach at creating marketing plans and ideas. He is so detail oriented that after a one hour session with him I knew exactly how to run a telecourse marketing campaign.

Check out James Roche at http://www.InfoProductGuy.com

    Thanks!

  6. Martina Srblin Says:

    Hi Lorrie!

Everyone before me mentioned amazing marketers & I totally agree with them – how could I not? However, my favorite one is Elizabeth Potts Weinstein. She’s a wonderful mentor, she’s so real and passionate and transmits tons of positive energy, she’s extremely smart, and for me, she’s one of the most inspiring women I know. Her websites are: www.elizabethpottsweinstein.com and www.thewealthspa.com, and I strongly recommend her “Live Your Truth” program. And if by any chance she’s reading this post: thank you so much, Elizabeth – you’re awesome!

Thank you, Lorrie – for this contest & the invaluable information you’re sharing with us in your must-read Ezine :)
